## Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for taking cones of cheese and warp them onto a beam that is of good quality, paying constant attention to building beams and formation of selvages. Required to remove empty cones from the creel.
## Qualifications
Essential Functions:
Must observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed. Will be responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions. Must attend all monthly scheduled Safety Meetings.
Operate Warpers and keeps record of all end breaks by warper. Keys in stop data into the watchdog system.
Assist removing full beams and help put empty beams on the warper.
Blow-off and sweep around warper after each creel has run out. (Generally twice per shift.)
Straighten tangled cones, place in rack and send to weaving.
Sweep floor around warper and creels as needed, though generally three times per shift and after any blow down.
Remove empty cones from creels.
Assist in replacing creel with full cones.
Notify Section Leader of any defective drop wires or mechanical breakdowns.
Pay constant attention to building of beams to include formation of selvage, evenness, and/or other problems.
Use KenComm board to highlight problems in processing.
Run Warpers at 800 yards per minute on OE spun yarn.
Sand beam heads on each beam at start up to prevent bad selvages.
Inspect yarn packages for required worth and using lexan gauge provided.
Follow all safety rules, plant rules, department rules and implement total quality in his/her area of responsibility.
Participate in Plant Corrective Action Team Program.
Participate in Plant Safety Program.
Report all unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
Education required/ preferred:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
One to three months' related experience and/or training
Preferred Skills/
Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
