Position Description:
Responsible for doffing cloth from looms; transporting cloth to staging area using cart and dollies.
Responsible for doffing cloth from looms; transporting cloth to staging area using cart and dollies.
Will include blowing down machines and monitoring when product needs to be added to machine or transported by moving color coded flags on machine.
Will brush overhead ducts, pipes and lights.
May transport sliver from 1st floor card room, 2nd, 3rd and 4th spinning frames to designated locations at yarn plant.
Must be able to recognize and distinguish colors-cans and flags are color coded to the machines.
Must wear steel toe shoes, safety goggles and a dust mask if within 50 ft of blow down operation.
Will sweep floor in assigned OES area.
Will load sliver onto can truck for transport.
Will brush walls and posts.
Will walk in and outside or plant with exposure to weather.
Must observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed.
Will be responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.
Must understand and comply with all current plant policies and procedures.
Prepare for next shift by ensuring sufficient supplies are present, area and trash containers are clean
Job Requirements:
Ability to calibrate and operate machines
Inspecting skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 6 months recent manufacturing experience
